Employment Information:
The City of Sand City is currently recruiting for the position of:

Police Officer

Lateral Transfer
$6042 – $8,502 monthly

The City of Sand City is accepting applications for a highly motivated individual with a desire to make a difference within the City.  Applicants are required to possess a basic POST certificate or higher.

The Police Officer is under direct supervision of the Police Chief or his appointee and performs a wide variety of duties for the citizens and community.

These duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

Patrol the designated area of the City to: (1) preserve law and order; (2) discover and prevent the commission of crimes and enforce traffic, other laws, and ordinances; (3) check buildings for security; (4) respond to the general public service calls, complaints, including domestic disturbances, automobile collisions, robberies, related misdemeanors, and felony incidents; (5) contact and cooperate with other law enforcement agencies in matters relating to the apprehension of offenders, the investigation of offenses, maintain contact with citizens regarding potential law enforcement problems; (6) preserve good relationships with the general public; and (7) other duties as required.

Specialized training to include current assignment or an assignment within the past three years as a Police Officer/Deputy in a POST California law enforcement agency is required.
