Monterey Bay Community Power is a new, locally-controlled public agency providing carbon-free electricity to residents and businesses in Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties at a lower cost than PG&E. MBCP is a Community Choice Energy agency, a local energy model succeeding elsewhere in CA and the U.S.

PG&E will continue to deliver electricity, maintain infrastructure, send bills and provide customer service. Customers will be automatically enrolled with MBCP unless they choose to return to PG&E. MBCP customers will receive a 3% rebate on their total electric generation costs.

Public forum will be held in the Irvine Auditorium. 499 Pierce St. Monterey, CA 93940 from 6:30 tp 7:30 PM on both May 29th and June 26th.
