The Fire Department responds to emergency fire, life-safety, and public health situations and is also responsible for ensuring that new construction projects comply with State and local Fire Codes. The City of Sand City contracts with the City of Monterey to utilize their Fire Department staff and resources. As a result, the first responding fire station for Sand City is the Monterey Fire Department Station #3, located at 401 Dela Vina in Monterey. Fire Department hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Fridays. The office is closed on weekends and holidays.
