Transportation

Monterey Salinas Transit (MST)

Sand City is serviced by the Monterey-Salinas Transit bus system. There are two bus stops in Sand City, the first located along California Avenue near the Highway 1 on-off ramps, and the second is a transfer hub along Playa Avenue adjacent to the Edgewater Shopping Center.

Transportation Agency of Monterey County (TAMC)

Sand City is within the jurisdiction of the Transportation Agency of Monterey County. This regional agency is responsible for coordinating and implementing solutions to regional transportation issues.  To estimate Transportation Impact Fees, click here.

California Department of Transportation 

State Highway 1 traverses north/south through Sand City; which falls under the jurisdiction of the California Department of Transportation.

Monterey Airport

The Monterey Airport services the entire Monterey Peninsula for air travel services.


Air Quality

Monterey Bay Unified Air Pollution Control District

Sand City falls within the jurisdiction of the Monterey Bay Unified Air Pollution Control District. This agency is responsible for air monitoring, permitting, enforcement, long-range air quality planning, regulatory development, education and public information activities related to air pollution.
