Records

The Records Unit processes all officers' documentation for filing, as well as parking tickets.

To request a copy of a report, download and complete the "Request Copy of Report" form and submit it to the Records Desk with a photo ID.  Hardcopies of the report request form are also available from the Records Desk.  Report fees may apply. 

Correspondence for the Police Department may be mailed to 1 Pendergrass Way, Sand City, CA 93955, or emailed to the Records Desk at sandcityrecords@sandcitypd.org.   

SCPD  no longer utilizes fax service.  

Fee Schedule

Vehicle Release: $95.00

Citation Correction (non-SCPD): $10.00

Copy of Police Report: $10.00

Dog License: $5.00

Service Fee for credit card payment: 2.6% + $0.10 

Service Fee for credit card payment (by phone): 3.5% + $0.15

Parking Tickets

 Payment for parking tickets is due within 21 days of issuance.  Payment may be made:

1. At the Records Desk, during business hours (M-F, 8am-4pm)

2. Mailed to us at 1 Pendergrass Way, Sand City CA 93955.  Personal checks, cashier's checks or money orders (US funds only) accepted.  Please write your citation number on the check.  Do not mail cash. 

3. By credit card.  Call the Records Desk during business hours (M-F, 8am-4pm) at (831) 394-1451.

4. Online payment is not currently available. 

Unpaid parking tickets are subject to having a hold placed on the cited vehicle's registration with the DMV.

To contest a parking ticket, download and complete the "Parking Ticket Initial Review Request" and submit it to the Records Desk by mail, in person, or via email at sandcityrecords@sandcitypd.org. 

To request a low-income payment plan, download and complete the "Indigency (Low Income) Claim Application" and submit it to the Records Desk by mail, in person, or via email at sandcityrecords@sandcitypd.org.  Supporting documentation is required, as specified in the form. 

Hardcopies of the Parking Ticket Initial Review Request and Indigency Claim Application are also available from the Records Desk.

2. Download, complete and save, then attach in an email to sandcityrecords@sandcitypd.org.
